I found the hotel to be more than comfortable, with exceptionally large rooms and the unexpected bonus of a bath; however, the room appeared dark and tired and lacked certain modern amenities like biscuits with the tea making facilities.

The room was more than comfortable, exceptionally large, and had a bath, which was an unexpected bonus; however, it needs updating as it looked dark and tired and was a bit basic without biscuits for the tea making facilities.

The hotel has a convenient location with free parking, close to everything I needed. The rooms were overly warm, and the noise from other guests was disruptive. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some issues with receipts. The dining experience was average, with some disappointing food items. The hotel offers regular buses into Birmingham, which was convenient.

The hotel had a great location, but the rooms really need updating and were not very clean. The service was mediocre with unprofessional behavior observed. The hotel's prime location made up for some of its shortcomings, serving its purpose very well. The dining experience was chaotic at times. The facilities were limited.

7.6/10

My stay at the hotel was quite mixed. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and quiet, offering more storage space than I have ever seen before; however, the lack of a thermostat forced me to call reception to adjust the room temperature. Additionally, there was some noise from a nearby motor running all night. The service was always polite and very helpful, but the dining experience left something to be desired due to limited breakfast options. The location was excellent for visiting family nearby and accessing the city center easily. The facilities were adequate but could use improvement in certain areas.

7.2/10

My stay at the hotel was comfortable and convenient for business use, with well-equipped rooms but a bit of inconvenience regarding the thermostat control. The service was very pleasant despite some issues with breakfast, and the location was good for accessing the city and nearby attractions. Dining options were varied but could use some improvement. Overall, a decent stay with a few minor drawbacks.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms, although not in the period building seen in the photos, were comfortable and well-equipped for business users. I appreciated the presence of irons and ironing boards, but there were some dried-up dirty water marks.
Service
6.0
The service was very pleasant and the staff were attentive and friendly, although sometimes they appeared condescending. The breakfast experience was not the best.
Location
8.0
The location was good, a bit out from the city center but ideal for reaching the NEC and with easy transportation options. The atmosphere was a bit bland, but the grand country house feel was nice.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were varied but could have been better with a more extensive selection. Prices were reasonable, but I opted for an alternative breakfast place nearby.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were adequate, but there were some minor issues with the dining presentation and cleanliness. Despite this, the hotel offered decent value for money.
